How does TABL pricing work?

TABL Portal has a $0 monthly software option. Instead of a monthly subscription, a service fee is added based on order size, with a minimum of $0.35 and a maximum of $1.00. If you want a side-by-side estimate against other POS systems, use the pricing calculator.

How do Stripe payments and fees work?

TABL uses Stripe for card-present payments through supported Stripe Terminal hardware, including the Stripe Reader M2 and BBPOS WisePOS E. You can create a Stripe account or connect an existing one, and payouts typically go directly to your bank account the next day. Stripe's U.S. in-person pricing was 2.7% + $0.05 per successful domestic card-present transaction when this page was updated on April 2, 2026, but rates can vary by country and card type, and TABL does not set those fees.

How much is invoicing? What are the fees?

TABL Invoicing is 2.9% + $0.30 per invoice payment with no monthly invoicing fee. Many POS systems charge higher invoice processing rates, monthly software fees, or both. For example, Square Plus is 2.9% + $0.30 plus a monthly subscription, Square Free is 3.3% + $0.30, Clover is commonly around 3.5% + $0.10 for keyed or online invoices plus monthly software costs, and Toast typically has monthly contracts or software fees plus processing costs. With TABL, the processing rate is competitive with the major platforms without the added monthly invoicing subscription cost; the only additional charge is a small 1% customer-paid service fee on the invoice itself. For businesses already using systems like Square Plus, Clover, or Toast, TABL can be a more cost-effective setup overall.

What hardware do I need, and can I use Stripe?

TABL is web-based, so you can run it on your own tablet with a modern browser. Depending on your workflow, you can also use the TABL Mobile app or pair with a Stripe Reader M2 or BBPOS WisePOS E for card-present checkout. Hardware needs vary by setup, so our team will talk through the best option during onboarding.

How does the TABL Mobile app work with TABL Portal?

TABL Mobile is the iPhone and iPad checkout app for teams that want to take orders anywhere service is happening. It stays synced with TABL Portal and the full TABL ecosystem, including Digital Menu, QR ordering, KDS, menus, invoices, reporting, and hardware/payment settings. Portal is where you manage the broader operation; TABL Mobile lets your team take orders in the line, handle overflow at events, and keep checkout moving away from the counter. Can you help me switch, set up, and go live?

How do events work with TABL?

TABL is built for trucks that move between regular service, festivals, private events, and pop-ups. You can create event-specific menus, keep pricing and availability clean for that event, generate menu and signage assets when needed, and review event-specific analytics afterward to see what sold, what to prep next time, and how to staff the next rush.

What happens after I request a demo?

What if I need internet for my truck?

TABL does not require perfect internet to run. It performs reliably on a phone hotspot, and high-volume teams have used it successfully over Starlink. If you want a dedicated setup, we can point you to a lower-cost connectivity partner; TABL does not provide internet service directly.
